Welcome to Day 3 of Our Back to School Blog Party!
Editor’s Note: Please check back with us each day this week for a fun, easy and free quilt pattern delivered to you in daily doses, plus giveaways, inspiration and more.
This year’s Back to School quilt, Village Square, was designed by Melissa Corry. We gave you the materials list and cutting directions in Monday’s post, then we started the quilt top yesterday. Now, when you’re finished making your quilt blocks, it’s time to assemble:
Sew the blocks into rows as shown in the assembly diagram. Sew the rows together.
Tomorrow we’ll share the next step of Village Square construction – quilting and finishing! Don’t forget that we’d love to see your progress on your quilt this week as well. To share your versions, post your in-progess or finished photos on your Facebook, Twitter or Instagram accounts and use the hashtag #qmbacktoschool15

Cindy Tiberio made her version using fabrics from today’s featured fabric sponsor, Northcott.
Here is our second featured Village Square quilt from our Back to School Team. It was made by Cindy Tiberio of New York using Artisan Spirit Fashionable Gray by Northcott. I absolutely love the gray and yellow color scheme, don’t you? Be sure to check out today’s other Back to School post to learn more about Cindy and her experience making this quilt.
Time for another giveaway! One of you will win a prize package of the following:
